Margie Montes is an accomplished Salsa and Bachata dancer, instructor, and director with over 15 years of experience in NYC Latin dance. She began her Salsa On2 journey in 2007, training under renowned instructors like Eddie Torres, La Salsa de Hoy, Salsa Salsa Dance Studio, and Antonio Doza. In 2011, she expanded her expertise to Bachata, honing her skills with Island Touch, Alma Latina, and Mi Esencia.

As a Bachata instructor, Margie has been a member of Empire Mambo NYC and HJ Ritmo NJ. She is also an experienced team director, having led groups with Alma Latina, Empire Mambo, and NJ Salsa. She currently directs Mi Esencia teams in both New York and New Jersey.

Margie’s passion for dance has taken her across the globe. She has traveled locally and internationally to teach and perform, sharing her talent and knowledge throughout the East and West Coasts of the U.S., as well as in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

In addition to her performance and teaching career, Margie is the founder and event organizer of the Ritmo Weekender, a celebration of Latin dance culture that brings together dancers, instructors, and social dancers from all over to connect through workshops, socials, and community.
