About Me
Aubrie teaches beginner salsa classes with an emphasis on the belief that anyone can learn lead and/or follow roles. She fosters a welcoming, inclusive space with the intention of teaching not just foundational building blocks of dance, but also social dance responsibility so that students are educated and empowered. Additionally, she believes in the importance of understanding and respecting the roots of Afro-Latin dances and endeavors to incorporate historical context into her classes. Aubrie has three decades of dance experience and has trained, performed, and competed with semi-pro teams. With her past team, she earned a world medal in Ladies Salsa Group Shines. Currently, Aubrie is Co-Producer of the Fusion Experience Social; is an assistant director for the Pride Salsa student team; and teaches beginner salsa classes. She is COO and co-founder of DanceFam.
