Siara, also known as Si, is a Queens-raised dance educator of Ecuadorian and Puerto Rican roots, now based in New Jersey and teaching throughout the NJ/NYC area. She specializes in traditional bachata, salsa, and musicality driven movement that emphasizes sentimiento/feeeeling, connection, and embodied expression. Dance has been part of Siara’s life since childhood from dancing en el patio con familia to training in ballet, tap, and jazz. She began formally teaching in 2025, developing her practice through community-centered workshops, classes, and social dance spaces. Her teaching style centers body awareness, rhythm, and connection, helping dancers learn not just the steps, but how to feel the dance in their own bodies. Siara is deeply committed to honoring the AfroLatin cultural roots of the dances she teaches and to cultivating spaces where dancers of all backgrounds can feel grounded, affirmed, and connected to themselves, to each other, and to the music. 🌹
