Ready to take your Waacking to the next level?

This special summer performance workshop is designed for dancers with prior Waacking experience who are ready to step into a professional performance environment. Participants will train in intermediate to advanced Waacking choreography while developing the skills needed to rehearse, perform, and operate within a professional dance setting.

Selected dancers will have the opportunity to perform live alongside professional dancers and Princess Lockerooo at major New York City Pride events in front of large audiences on June 27 and June 28. Press and media opportunities may also be present, which can be especially valuable for international dancers building professional portfolios and visa support materials.

This workshop is ideal for dancers who:

Already have Waacking experience

Have a basic ability to pick up choreography

Want real-world performance experience

Are ready to grow artistically and professionally

Want to train in a high-level, supportive environment

Participants will gain insight into:

Professional rehearsal etiquette

Performance quality and stage presence

Musicality and storytelling

Working within a cast and production environment

The discipline and energy required for live performance

Important Requirements:

Participants must have previous Waacking experience in order to participate

Participants must be available for all workshop sessions and rehearsals

Participants must also be fully available for performances on June 27 and June 28 at New York City Pride

Scholarships Available In alignment with the roots and spirit of Waacking, scholarships will be available for LGBTQIA+ community members.
